Skincare Artistry Certification
Skincare Artistry is just that – an art. It's the ability to combine the technical skills of application while teaching the client tips and tricks to create the look at home. With a little practice, you'll be on your way to mastering Level 1 and helping every client find their Look and Finish.

Level 1
To receive your level 1 Skincare Artistry Certification, you need to master all Level 1 skills and behaviors:
HYGENE STANDARDS
- Follows proper hygiene standards for sanitizing hands and brushes
- Washes counter's brushes daily with The Cleansing Gel
PREPARING THE CANVAS
- Asks Purposeful Questions to determine client's skincare regimen and desired Look and Finish
- Properly prepares client's skin with customized skincare regimen
- Generously moisturizes skin before foundation with proper application
SHADE FINDER TOOL
- Explains La Mer's shade matching method
- Properly selects client's correct shade intensity and undertone
- Confirms agreement of shade with client before application
- Avoids labeling by undertone ("You are a warm.")
To receive your level 1 Skincare Artistry Certification, you need to master all Level 1 skills and behaviors:

FOUNDATION APPLICATION
- Blends foundation on back of hand using The Foundation Brush or cushion applicator before applying
- Applies foundation from center of face out, building seamless coverage as needed
- Leaves no visible brush strokes on client's skin
- Demonstrates the Natural Beauty, Glowing Radiance and Soft Matte Finishes with all foundations
THE CONCEALER APPLICATION
- Warms The Concealer on back of hand before applying to face
- Gently taps product into skin to build coverage seamlessly
THE POWDER AND THE SHEER PRESSED POWDER APPLICATION
- Diffuses both formulas on back of hand prior to applying to face
- Applies both formulas in a downwards, circular motion from the center of the face

- Creates a soft, 'halo' effect on face for photographs by combining Glowing Radiance and Soft Matte Finishes (apply Soft Matte in the center of the face with Glowing Radiance around the outside of face)
To receive your level 3 Skincare Artistry Certification, you need to master all Level 1 and 2 skills and behaviors in addition to:
